With a rich heritage dating back to 1892, Lochcarron of Scotland has grown from humble beginnings in Wester Ross into the world’s leading manufacturer of tartan. Proudly keeping traditional Scottish textile crafts alive, their skilled craftspeople dye, warp, weave, mend, and tailor authentic textiles, offering over 500 historic tartans.

Today, the company's manufacturing is based in Selkirk, where they relocated to modernise and streamline production while strictly preserving their traditional handmade quality. This move to the Scottish Borders maintains a vital connection to their deep roots in local weaving history. With timeless appeal, Lochcarron of Scotland continues to champion authentic Scottish manufacturing, ensuring tartan remains both the thread of their history and the story of their future.
